Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American entrepreneur for over twenty years. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. Buss, a Californian native was raised with an extremely wealthy life. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur in real estate who was the owner of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. When she was in the year 1972, her parents separated up and she felt emotionally abandoned. When she was 19 years old she inherited her role as General Manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Prior to becoming vice-president of the Lakers, she served as president of Great Western Forum. Her father died in 2013 and his controlling control for the Lakers was inherited by Buss as well as her siblings through a family trust which gave each sibling equal voting rights. Buss was elected in 2013 to take over the presidency for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss co-owns Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional company based in Los Angeles.
